This is a delicous start to any day! Little changes over time make a big difference. Here is  a quick breakdown on the health benefits and nutritional information of the ingredients:

Almond Milk

The health benefits of almond milk include the improvement of vision, weight loss, stronger bones and a strong, healthy heart. It helps in building strong muscles, maintaining ideal blood pressure and maintaining a properly-functioning kidney. Contains 30 percent of the recommended daily calcium amount, as well as 25 percent of the recommended amount of vitamin D, reducing your risk for arthritis and osteoporosis and improving your immune function. Plus, these two nutrients work together to provide healthy bones and teeth formation.

Pear

Pears provide a very good source of fiber and are also a good source of vitamin B2, C, E, copper, and potassium. They also contain a significant amount of pectin, which is a water soluble fiber. Pears are actually higher in pectin than apples. This makes them effective in helping to lower cholesterol levels and in toning the intestines. They are also an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin E, both powerful antioxidants and essential nutrients.

Mango

Mangoes have a sweet and creamy taste and contain over 20 vitamins and minerals .Mangoes also contribute copper, calcium and iron to the diet as well as antioxidants such as zeaxanthin and beta-carotene.

Spinach

Among the World’s Healthiest vegetables, spinach comes out at the top of our ranking list for nutrient richness. Rich in vitamins and minerals, it is also concentrated in health-promoting phytonutrients such as carotenoids (beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin) and flavonoids to provide you with powerful antioxidant protection.

Cacao

Cacao contains an abundance of antioxidants, because it’s raw and pure. It’s also a fantastic source of fiber, magnesium, essential fatty acids, iron, copper, zinc, sulfur, and calcium.

Natural unsweetened cocoa powder is actually very similar to raw cacao powder except for experiencing higher temperatures during production, which decreases antioxidant activity. For optimum health  use the raw form of Cacao which can be found at Wholefoods or Health food stores.

Moringa

Moringa is one of the most nutrient-rich foods on earth. It provides  the body with the minerals, vitamins and (all 8 essential) amino-acids, containing 46 antioxidants, anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitical properties. Prolonged daily use supports the body to clean itself, and to “clean the blood”, and the stomach. Provides natural energy in minutes and lasts up to 7 hours. The food-state nutrients are absorbed easily by the body.

I hope you enjoy this smoothie as much as I do. Looking forward to sharing more of this journey with you.

Light and Love, Sharonlee
