Labour of Love? Smiling shines your light!

008

I hope you all had a nice relaxing Labour Day long weekend. I find myself reflecting on the concept of the Labour of Love and how we send a positive ripple effect thru the universe as we partake on what we feel inspired to do. It takes on many shapes and sizes from a volunteer commitment to doing anonymous random acts of kindness. I try to sprinkle a bit of both in my day to day life for a couple of reasons. First being of service to our collective global community is always a good go to move. As well I find in fills my spirit with connection to the greater good. Just doing something out of the kindness of my heart fills it? It doesn’t make sense? I am giving- how come I receive so much back? It is a magical mystery that I just LoVe.

There is something about doing something for someone other than my self that connects me to the greater collective. Isn’t that what we are all seeking to feel connected ? To feel loved? There is something about seeing the look in someones eye when you have have helped them without being asked. Holding a door for a stranger is a super easy one I try to do daily as I am out and about. Everytime it seems I get a smile and a Thank you. A moment of eye contact and connection to the greater universal plan something about that comforts me.

One of the Dalai Lama’s teachings I also encorporate in day to day is a genuine SMILE. In 2009 when I was in Dharmsala, India for a 5 day Dharma lessons with HH some of the key lessons were, Love and Compassion are nesessities! not luxuries. He asked each of us to encorporate a simple smile in our daily lives. He said if you ever feel lonely, walk the streets and smile at everyone you pass. 9 times out of 10 you will get a smile back. As well get connected to the greater conciousness with our positive energy and shine our light and love on the world.  I have used this as I have travelled the globe by myself some times not knowing a soul, just going where I felt guided and met some of the most amazing people as a result. We all feel guided at some point in our lives. Some days I feel like my life is a Magical Mystery tour. And really I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So I ask you, I know you have most likely done one or more Labours of Love in your life. I would love to hear about it, how it enhanced your life and the lives of those you touched. It is that positive loving energy  that we synergize that makes a big difference in our lives and the lives of others. As we all make small changes it makes a big difference. NEVER under estimate your importance in the world. We need you and your loving energy. We are here for each other, its that simple.

So I look forward to hearing from you and your Labour of Love experiences.

Light and Love,

Sharonlee
